Authorship.
Photographs credited foto: arci.cz are taken by Radovan Císař. This page explains what the credit means and under what conditions the photographs may be used.
What "foto: arci.cz" means
The recommended full credit is Foto: Radovan Císař / arci.cz, shortened to Foto: arci.cz. The domain works as a short, memorable author credit, unambiguously tied to a specific person — never an anonymous brand.
How to use the photographs
Editorial use with credit. Non-commercial editorial use (news coverage, illustrating a text, personal non-commercial projects) is free of charge, provided the photograph remains unaltered and the credit above is included, linking to arci.cz where technically possible in that medium.
Commercial licensing. Use in advertising, on product packaging, in paid commercial content, or any use that alters the photograph or creates a derivative work, requires prior written consent and a licence. Get in touch via the contact form describing the intended use.
Not permitted. Removing or altering the credit, claiming authorship, and any commercial use without a licence.
In case of unauthorised use
If a photograph appears without credit or outside the permitted terms, the first step is a request to remedy it (adding the credit, or taking the photograph down). If that doesn't happen, a claim for reasonable compensation under copyright law may follow.
Verifying provenance
An original file is kept for every published photograph. In case of doubt about authorship, it can be provided as proof on request.
